The Bureau develops and implements state programs, provides technical assistance to EMS regions for ambulance service licensure programs, acts as an interface among the regions within the state, and coordinates EMS educational programs with the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC). The Bureau is also involved in the development of comprehensive regional EMS systems throughout the state.
