Study MEng Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Times Higher Education University of the Year 2019.
Subject, Educational Goal ; Practical Class on River Engineering, This class aims to cultivate students’ ability to apply their theoretical grounding in hydromechanics (Years 1 & 2) and fluid and water motion (Hydraulics 1 & 2), and methods of calculating the amount of water (Hydrology) to actual fields related to river engineering, fluvial system survey, river maintenance, and river topography. ; Practical Class on Geotechnical Design, Using a major textbook in which practical geotechnics is clearly explained, professors and students study and discuss together the principles of geotechnical design in order to cultivate the students’ practical professional skills. ; Practical Class on GPS Surveying, This class aims to cultivate survey technicians who can establish the basic data for construction work and design. Students will learn about the principles of the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), location determination technology, ground surveying systems, and GPS utilization techniques.
As an environmental engineering major, you'll directly influence, environmental pollution, alternative energy, climate change and more.
