Organization, Description of Organization ; American Legion Father and Son Post 435, , committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor. ; Edison Community Garden, Edison Community Garden Initiative ; Beautiful Edison, Our mission is to beautify Edison. We create new programs, support residents, businesses, and other groups in order to make our community more attractive. ; Hackensack Meridian Health - Haven Hospice, One of the longest running hospice programs in New Jersey. Volunteers needed to provide friendly visits to hospice patients. ; Amandla Crossing, Transitional housing program for homeless single parent families on public assistance; addresses social, economic, and academic needs of the families; adult basic education aimed at helping clients obtain their GED. On-site childcare and afterschool care is provided so clients are able to participate in the program ; American Children's Cancer Association, they are a NJ-based charity that continually reuse & recycle old vehicles (in the form of scrap metal). They offer to the Township of Edison residents wishing to donate (or recycle) their vehicle includes a $200 VISA card (for their accepted vehicle), two vacation hotel stay vouchers, the highest allowable tax credit, and free towing (all of which provide a strong incentive to remove unsightly vehicles from Township of Edison properties, as well as improve the overall environment) ; American-Irish Association of Central Jersey, provides community service and scholarships and attracting new members. ; Barbara E Cheung Memorial Hospice, Hospice Services Available 24-7, certified home ain, nutritional services ; Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), Helps families, women and children in local communities. ; Boy Scouts Troop 110, Serves boys ages 11 to 17. Boys learn skills for success. They learn leadership and responsibility skills to obtain rank advancement. They Volunteer in the community on clean ups, events and parades. They also go on camping trips, scouting outings and other fun activities. ; Buddy Ball Inc., Provides sports & recreational programs for special needs children ; Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex Co., Offers an array of services including assistive technology for a child who can neither walk nor speak and intervention program for fragile infants ; Cars to Cure Breast Cancer, Accepts donated vehicles & either recycles or auctions them off. Earned proceeds from the sale of the vehicle benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
